May 2015 Day 1 – Mount Palmer

This past weekend, we completed a successful summit hike of Mount Palmer in the Grapevine Mountains.  The area was extremely beautiful and this was definitely one of my favorite summit hikes ever in the park.  That being said, it was also a very challenging hike.  I’m looking forward to writing up a full trip report on the Mount Palmer hike within the next couple of weeks.  (First, I have to finish up my half-completed report on Eureka Peak.)  Here are a few teaser images from our Mount Palmer hike.  We also took one other hike while we were in the park, which I will make another post about.
