DV Hiking Set to Resume in Jan

Just wanted to post a brief note that our Death Valley hiking is set to resume after a long layoff of 8 months.  My last hike in the park was back in May on our peak hikes to Tucki Mountain and Mount Palmer.  Those were both fantastic hikes.  After hiking zero canyons in 2015 and doing mostly all peak hikes, our focus during the 2016 hiking year will shift back to Death Valley canyons.  I’m saving all the details until after we carry out the hikes, but you can be sure they will be good and interesting ones.  One of the featured hikes which we will be doing is a place known informally as Tafoni Canyon.  Tafoni Canyon has several forks of interesting narrows.  I’m going to share one preview image down below which was sent in by a fellow Death Valley hiker.  Hopefully, we will be able to hike this canyon and others soon and have some brand new trip reports coming your way.  I’ll post back here in a few weeks once our first round of hiking for this season has been completed.
